Requirements
• Montessori certification
• CDA (Child development Associate) certification
• Minimum of a 2-year college degree in early childhood and/or work experience related to education.
• 3 to 5 years of Prior experience working with early childhood education, preferably within a Montessori setting and or daycare.
• CPR certified and Basic first aid training is a huge plus!
• Ability to lift approximately up to 70
• lbs.
• May be required to kneel, bend, squat, sit on the floor for extended periods of time, or crawl to accommodate children on a day-to-day basis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• On-the-job training recommended.
• A passion for early Montessori childhood Education.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards; ensuring that all materials are in good repair and all sets complete.
Developing materials when needed.
Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
Working with children 12mos - 6 years old in a loving and nurturing way.
Ensure all school policies and state regulations are met.
Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards.
Attend professional development meetings and school events as a member of the school community.
