Job Description::
We’re seeking a creative, energetic, and collaborative Lead Guide to join us for our inaugural 2024-2025 school year. The Zion School is an independent microschool in close proximity to Ponce City Market and the historic Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. Our unique one-room classroom is nestled within a converted Telephone Factory building along the eastside BeltLine trail of Atlanta, Georgia. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Guide will work with the rest of the teaching team (another Assistant and Floater) to provide a warm, nurturing, and safe environment where self-direction is enhanced, independence is encouraged, and individuality is respected.
IDEAL CANDIDATES
• Will have Early Childhood 3-6 MACTE/AMI/AMS credential or Montessori training preferred; however, applicants in training or willing to complete training should also consider applying
• Previous Experience working in a Montessori classroom environment
• Skilled classroom manager, inspiring children to be their best selves and patiently coaching them through solution-finding processes
• Collaborative and willing to work within a team
• Basic computer skills
• Able to work between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily during our balanced year calendar; once hired, applicants can choose to increase base pay by working during our Session Break Camps
• Interest or experience in outdoor education or similar experience is a big plus!
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
COMPENSATION
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary (commensurate with experience), Montessori professional development allowance and tuition assistance for dependent children. The salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $50,000.
